Job Description

Best Buy is the worlds largest multi-channel consumer electronics retailer with stores in the US and Canada. We are currently seeking a Finance Manager to provide financial planning and analytical support for our Major and Small Appliances business . This role supports a team of three direct reports together they are responsible for over $4B in revenue annually. This leader will be responsible for supporting the category officer and their general managers to collaboratively drive financial strategies providing insights on revenue trends profitability market share performance inventory management and competitive positioning. You and your team are trusted partners helping the category management team evaluate the economics of new product launches promotions and go-to-market strategies. This highly collaborative and cross functional role provides ample opportunity to have a meaningful impact on Best Buys business.

This role is hybrid which means you will be required to work some days on-site at the Best Buy location listed on this posting and some days virtually from home or another non-Best Buy location. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.

What youll do:
  • Understand the business strategy and integrate into team priorities and goals.
  • Contribute to setting financial targets metrics testing forecasting risk assessment and other measures that ensure accurate financial results and helps influence change
  • Design and execute the key FP&A rhythms using a continuous improvement mindset to find efficiencies deliver whats needed and cut out waste.
  • Anticipate and proactively adapt when priorities evolve shift or when dealing with ambiguous situations.
  • Collaborate and develop trust with business partners and finance leaders to resolve issues and support business strategies.
  • Leverage relationships to influence finance and business peers and business owners on operational and strategic issues.
  • Set timely and clear work direction for the team ensure clarity of responsibilities decision rights accountabilities and outcomes.
  • Execute on all aspects of talent management including attracting developing positioning and retaining high quality and diverse talent.
Basic Qualifications:
  • 5 years of experience in Finance Accounting Business or related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 8 years of experience in Finance Accounting Business or related field.
  • 2 years of management or leadership experience
  • MBA CPA other certification or advanced degree
