Test Engineer

Reston, VA - 1 day a week onsite

Type: Contract
Compensation: $61/HR

We're seeking a Test Engineer to support a fast-paced Agile Scrum team. You'll focus on validating ETL workflows, automating tests, and ensuring system reliability across API and UI layers. Strong Selenium and Java skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Validate ETL processes and MongoDB data changes

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts (Selenium required; Playwright preferred)

• Perform API and UI testing (manual + automated)

• Build/manage CI/CD pipelines

• Track/report issues using Jira

• Participate in code reviews , requirement analysis, and Agile ceremonies

• Write and maintain technical/test documentation

Required Skills:

• 3+ years of experience in QA or software development

• Strong programming in Java ; Python is a plus

• Experience with Selenium , APIs , and data validation

• Familiarity with MongoDB , CI/CD, and Agile environments

• Exposure to Playwright , cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), and TDD/BDD is a plus

Education:

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field

• Or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
