Title: Sr. Splunk Engineer Location: Buffalo, NY || Wilmington, DE || Bridgeport, CT (Hybrid) Duration: 18 – 24 months Looking for Visa Independent consultants who can work on our W2 only Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Splunk Engineer to join our banking client's security engineering team. This role will focus on full stack engineering, data modeling, automation, upgrades, and break-fix support as we continue to onboard data sources following a Splunk production launch. The ideal candidate will have deep engineering expertise in Splunk and related technologies, with the ability to mentor junior engineers and communicate technical strategies to leadership. Responsibilities: Develop and implement data models, automation, and coding solutions within Splunk. Support ongoing upgrades, maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure system stability. Collaborate with security and infrastructure teams to enhance monitoring and response capabilities. Work closely with developers and leadership, including presenting strategies to senior executives. Participate in DevSecOps initiatives to improve security and compliance processes. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers. Required Skills: 7+ years of hands-on Splunk engineering experience. Strong background in data modeling. Proficiency in full-stack programming using Python or similar languages. Understanding of API calls, web services, and distributed environments. Ability to lead, mentor, and collaborate with junior engineers. Strong communication skills, with the ability to present strategies to leadership, including the CIO. Nice-to-Have Skills: Experience standing up automation using Ansible and integration with GitLab.
