Job Description

We are working with an energy engineering and consulting firm that helps commercial and public sector customers in California develop energy efficiency and renewable energy projects.  

They are adding a Solar & Battery Sales Engineer to join their team in Oakland. This individual will play a pivotal role in reducing energy and carbon emissions in existing buildings through innovative Deep Energy Retrofits, electrification, and battery-enabled solar-powered microgrids.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct feasibility studies and develop solar and battery microgrid projects, ensuring technical and financial viability.
• Collaborate with design-build teams to oversee project execution, maintaining rigorous quality assurance and performance verification.
• Analyze utility rate structures, interval data, and other project metrics using tools like Energy Toolbase and Helioscope.
• Manage stakeholder relationships and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and codes in California.
• Contribute to company growth initiatives, including process development, system optimization, and business strategy.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Mechanical Engineering Degree and exposure to building and energy systems.
• 3+ years of experience with solar and energy storage/microgrid projects.
• Familiarity with various C&I renewable energy financing solutions.
• Motivated, driven, and dedicated to organizational development.
• Strong organizational skills with a commitment to precision.

Salary Range: $100 -130K DOE + bonus
