The Registered Nurse (RN) gives complete care to patients and their families.
This means the RN works both alone and with others to provide nursing services based on specific rules and skills for the area where they work.
The RN cares for patients of all ages, from babies to older adults.
Their job includes the following steps: checking the patient's health, determining health problems, setting goals for health, planning care, providing treatment, and evaluating the results.
The RN creates and updates the care plan for the patient, works with other health workers, and assigns tasks to them when needed.
They are involved in making decisions about nursing care. By actively participating in their work and using their leadership skills, the RN helps improve care standards and the overall care environment, providing excellent service to patients.
The specific tasks may change based on the area where the RN works.
This means some units may need special skills from the RN that are not required in all areas. Each unit has its own list of skills that goes beyond the general RN requirements.
***Important Note: This is a position for a NICU RN in a labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum (LDRP) unit. Candidates must have experience with helping newborns in emergencies and attending high-risk births.

**Qualifications Required:**
- 2 or more years of travel nursing experience
- Experience in stabilizing and resuscitating newborns
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (from AHA or ARC)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Experience in a Level III NICU caring for babies born as early as 23 weeks
- STABLE certification (preferred)
- Experience with Epic (a health record system) is required

**State License Requirements:**
- Must have a nursing license for Minnesota.
