Quality Supervisor | Traverse City, MI

Salary Range: $69,000 - $98,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead a team of quality inspectors and technicians.
• Oversee the implementation and adherence to quality control procedures and standards.
• Conduct regular product inspections, process audits, and quality checks.
• Investigate quality non-conformances, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain comprehensive quality documentation and generate performance reports.
• Develop and deliver quality training programs for production and quality personnel.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for manufacturing processes and product quality.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field.
• 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance/control in a manufacturing environment, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and experience with quality management systems.
• Proficiency in quality tools such as SPC, FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, and 8D methodology.
• Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Bonus Qualifications

• ASQ Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE) or Six Sigma Black Belt certification
• Experience with specific Quality Management System (QMS) software platforms (e.g., MasterControl, Sparta Systems) or ERP quality modules
• Demonstrated experience in supplier quality management, including audits and performance monitoring
• Lead Auditor certification for relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 13485)
