OB/GYN Physician - Outpatient (Job Overview)

Schedule: Monday-Thursday

At Legacy Community Health, we invite exceptional OB/GYN Physicians to redefine healthcare in a large Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) within a medically underserved community. This role is perfect for those who are passionate about making an impact on community healthcare while exploring creative solutions to elevate patient care.

As an OB/GYN Physician with us, you will deliver comprehensive medical care focused on pregnancy and childbirth, and engage in diagnosing, treating, and aiding in the prevention of diseases related to the women's reproductive system. Your role will go beyond the clinic's scheduled hours to include on-call services and participation in clinical and operational meetings that occasionally require after-hours commitment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive OB/GYN medical care, focusing on patient evaluation, treatment, and management related to pregnancy and childbirth.
  • Diagnose, treat, and prevent diseases affecting women, focusing on reproductive health.
  • Provide general medical care to women within the community as required.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to support continuous patient care.
  • Engage in clinical and operational meetings to drive forward-thinking healthcare improvements, occasionally requiring after-hours involvement.

Required Qualifications

  • Medical degree with specialization in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
  • Board certification in OB/GYN.
  • Eligible for a medical license in the state of Texas.
  • Proven experience working in diverse and medically underserved communities is a plus.
  • Dedication to contributing positively to a collaborative team atmosphere.
  • Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and patient interaction skills.
