Marketing Specialist (Consultant) – San Mateo Region

Focus: Enrollment Growth & Regional Outreach

Location: San Mateo County, CA (regional expertise highly preferred)

Engagement Type: Consultant / Contract / 1099

Duration: Short-term consultation with potential extension

Compensation: Hourly or project-based (to be proposed by consultant)

Overview

Meaningful Beginnings is seeking an experienced Marketing Specialist (Consultant) to support our upcoming expansion and enrollment growth efforts in the San Mateo region . This role is ideal for a marketing professional with strong local market knowledge , experience in community-based enrollment growth , and a proven ability to design and execute targeted regional strategies.

The consultant will assess our current approach, identify opportunities specific to San Mateo County, and recommend (and potentially support) high-impact marketing and outreach initiatives to increase enrollment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct a regional market assessment for San Mateo County, including demographics, competitive landscape, and enrollment trends
• Develop a targeted marketing and outreach strategy focused on increasing enrollment in the San Mateo region
• Recommend community partnerships , local outreach channels, and region-specific marketing tactics
• Advise on digital marketing , local advertising, referral strategies, and grassroots/community engagement
• Provide clear, actionable recommendations with timelines, estimated costs, and expected impact
• (Optional, if agreed) Support implementation of approved strategies

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in marketing, enrollment growth, or community outreach
• Strong familiarity with the San Mateo County market (Highly Preferred)
• Experience working with education, early childhood, healthcare, or community-based organizations is highly preferred
• Proven ability to design region-specific or hyperlocal marketing strategies
• Strong analytical, strategic, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and deliver clear recommendations in a consultative role

Engagement Details

This is a consultation-based position . The selected consultant will work closely with our leadership team for a defined period to deliver strategic guidance and recommendations.
