The Lifeguard is responsible for providing professional and courteous service to each and every guest. They will be responsible for exceeding guest expectations through positive interactive skills. 

  • Responsible for maintaining the Wynn standards of service to guests and coworkers at all times.
  • Responsible for daily set up of the pool deck before the pool opens to guests and completing a breakdown of the pool each day as the pool closes.
  • Responsible for following all designated emergency procedures and understands duties in the event an emergency arises.
  • Provide constant visual surveillance of pool and surrounding area identifying any potential safety or emergency situations.
  • Ensures the Wynn standards of cleanliness and appearance for all areas.
  • Awareness of guest experience at all times, smiles and makes eye contact and communicates professionally.
  • Assists guests with any requests; offering appropriate alternatives and seeking assistance when needed.
  • Knows and adheres to Wynn and departmental policies and procedures, embrace company culture and take pride in the resort and amenities.
  • Understands and well versed in the resort, hotel features and services including all outlets, hours of operation, activities and events available to guests.
  • Attends required training classes and incorporates new standards, service knowledge and safety into daily work practices.
  • Looks for opportunities to assist peers, guests, other departments or leaders at all times.
  • Solution oriented stays on task and promotes teamwork.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills. Ensuring professional and courteous communication at all times.
  • Performs all other job related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
  • Previous experience working in the hospitality industry or pool setting preferred.
  • Candidate must be able to work efficiently within a team environment.
  • Must be able to work effectively in stressful, high-pressure situations.
  • Must possess a positive, “whatever it takes” attitude.
  • Must have an open mind and willingness to learn new processes, concepts and ways of approaching guest and coworkers.
  • Candidate must be well groomed and professional.
  • Must be able to communicate English with guests, management, and other employees to their understanding. Additional foreign language a plus.
  • Must be available to work all shifts and days including opening and closing shifts.
  • Candidates should also possess basic knowledge of the Las Vegas area and attractions.
  • Must be capable of administering CPR, First Aid or provide rescue in accordance with Red Cross training.
  • Willingness to maintain the highest level of confidentiality regarding guests and staff.
  • Work Card Requirements -
  • *Candidates will be available to obtain certifications through Wynn on-site*
    • American Red Cross certification in CPR for the Professional Rescuer
    • Lifeguard Training & First Aid
