We currently have an opening for an IT Help Desk Specialist at our Deer Park, IL headquarters office. 

Summary :

The role of the Help Desk Specialist is responsible for first level IT support and administration for computers, phones, and business application utilized by Plexus end users.

Essential Functions :

  • Monitor, support and resolve help desk tickets and requests from Plexus end users and departments
  • Monitor the performance of the company’s desktop infrastructure and make suggestions for improving efficiency
  • Assist with the installation of new hardware and software and help train employees on its use.
  • Collaborate on the creation and administration of user licenses and accounts for business systems and applications
  • Participate and work with onboarding and offboarding procedures and activities
  • Other IT tasks and responsibilities as requested by management

Requirements:

  • Minimum of one (1) year of previous information technology or related experience
  • Previous help desk experience is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Ability to work independently as well as in coordination with other members of the team
  • Experience with Microsoft365 and Apps, Active Directory, Windows 10/11, Adobe
  • Ability to set priorities and manage workflow to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate resolution of help desk tickets and requests
  • Expected to maximize efficiencies, while using good organizational skills
  • Effectively prioritize and complete tasks within requested timeframes

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to perform primarily sedentary work, frequently using a computer (visual acuity, fine motor skills) and telephone (talking/hearing)
  • Read, write, and communicate effectively
  • Lift and carry up to 15 lbs
  • Ability to drive and handle the physical demands of travel


Position Type and Expected Work Hours:
This is a full-time position. The associate must work 40.0 hours each week to maintain full-time status. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00 pm, with some flexibility in hours. While frequent travel is not a requirement of this position, there may be times when occasional travel may be needed.

Compensation and Benefits:
This is a non-exempt position and the approximate rage for the hourly rate is $23.00 - $24.50 per hour. Please note the range provided is a good faith estimate at the time of the posting. Actual compensation within that range is based on a wide variety of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to, individual qualifications, depth of experience, knowledge, skills, applicable certifications, and physical work location(s).
