**Insulator - San Diego, CA - Career Opportunity** **Job Description** + Join our team as a Material Handler and gain valuable experience in the construction industry. This position provides labor support to experienced carpenters and insulators. Entry-level personnel will learn insulation removal and installation under the guidance of skilled team members, and their work will be reviewed and evaluated by supervisors. **Responsibilities** + Convey material to various locations throughout the jobsite + Organize and maintain clean work areas + Perform basic insulation installation, coating application, taping, and removal + Participate in on-the-job training + Utilize company-provided tools responsibly **Essential Skills** + General labor experience + Knowledge of construction practices + Proficiency with hand and power tools + Mechanical aptitude + Basic production skills **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Previous experience in the construction industry is beneficial but not required + Ability to withstand prolonged periods standing and working outside + Physically able to lift 40 pounds at a time + Local to the San Diego metro area preferred **Why Work Here?** + Experience the benefits of working with a national employee-owned specialty contractor that values diversity, inclusiveness, and safety. This involves new construction on various Navy TAO X Class ships. The environment is dynamic, supporting the T-AO New Construction Program in SOC 6 at NASSCO. As part of this role, you'll be engaged in a project vital to the Navy's operations at sea. **Job Type & Location** + This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, California. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
