Golf Course Superintendent
Golf course in Lexington, Kentucky is looking for a Golf Course Superintendent.
Position Overview:
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with a passion for turfgrass management and a proven track record of maintaining a high-quality golf course. This position requires a professional who is not only a team player but also an independent self-starter capable of taking ownership of the course’s operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Course Management: Oversee all aspects of golf course maintenance, including but not limited to, mowing, irrigation, fertilization, pest control, and course renovations.
• Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and manage a dedicated crew of groundskeepers. Foster a positive and productive work environment.
• Budget Management: Develop and manage an annual departmental budget of $1.25M – $1.5M, ensuring fiscal responsibility and efficient use of resources.
• Agronomic Expertise: Plan and execute a comprehensive agronomic program. Expertise in managing both cool and warm season grasses is an absolute requirement due to our location in the transition zone.
• Equipment Management: Oversee the maintenance and repair of all course equipment, ensuring operational readiness and longevity.
• Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with the General Manager/Ownership, Management Team, and the membership. Provide regular updates on course conditions and upcoming projects.
• Safety: Uphold and enforce all club safety policies and procedures and follow all state and federal regulations.

Seeking a highly skilled and motivated Golf Course Superintendent to lead our agronomy team.
Compensation:
$100,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year.
