Food Safety & Quality Assurance Manager
We’re seeking a proactive, people-driven FSQA Manager to lead the Quality Assurance and Sanitation departments. This is a key leadership role with high visibility, designed for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment and is passionate about building a strong food safety culture.
Supervise and develop FSQA and Sanitation team members, including hiring, training, reviews, and accountability
Be a visible floor leader, coaching team members and reinforcing a culture of food safety
Own and maintain compliance programs: FSMA, HACCP, SQF, SSOPs, HARPC, and more
Lead internal audits and prepare for third-party inspections
Investigate quality failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
Collaborate with Production and R&D teams to support testing and continuous improvement
Oversee sanitation operations and improve systems and standards
Serve as a liaison with external auditors, inspectors, and vendors
Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or related field preferred
10+ years of FSQA/QA experience in food manufacturing, including team management
Recall experience required
Proven ability to lead, hold teams accountable, and drive results
Knowledge of industry certifications (SQF, BRC, ISO 22000, etc.)
Strong grasp of FDA regulations and food safety best practices
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
