Performs a variety of skilled work in the operation, repair, and maintenance of buildings, grounds, equipment and other related work as required. operates, maintains, and repairs equipment including vessel boiler, electrical, air-conditioning refrigeration, plumbing, as well as a working knowledge of all other skill areas. **Job Description** : **EDUCATION:** + HS Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) **CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:** + DL-Valid Driver's License Class C Upon Hire **SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:** + Knowledge of all building components (i.e., boilers, fuels, piping systems, roof building structures, air conditioning systems, grounds etc.) + Able to read, write, and speak the English Language. + Develops through training program and then exhibits complete knowledge of the system, theory and procedures for repair and maintenance in one of the following areas: electrical, air conditioning and refrigeration, pressure vessel boiler, plumbing and carpentry. + Develops through training program and then exhibits considerable knowledge of electrical theory and procedures for repairing and maintaining the system. + Develops through training program and then exhibits considerable knowledge of air-conditioning, refrigeration and heating control systems, including air balance and system calibration procedures for repair and maintenance. + Develops through training program and then exhibits considerable knowledge of commercial plumbing systems and procedures for repair and maintenance. + Develops through training program and then exhibits considerable knowledge of procedures, materials and tools used in commercial building remodels and cabinet construction. + Develops through training program and then exhibits considerable knowledge of uniform electrical and building codes. + Develops through training program and then exhibits considerable knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions of the building and mechanical trades. + Develops through training program and then exhibits through knowledge of the tools, equipment, and materials used in the building trades. + Develops through training program and then exhibits ability to inspect systems and buildings to detect existing or potential problems. + Develops through training program and then exhibits ability to read and understand blueprints. + Develops through training program and then exhibits ability to analyze situations and develop an effective course of action. **Job Shift:** Days **Schedule:** Full Time **Shift Hours:** 8 **Days of the Week:** Monday - Friday, Variable **Weekend Requirements:** As Needed **Benefits:** Yes **Unions:** No **Position Status:** Non-Exempt **Weekly Hours:** 40 **Employee Status:** Regular Sutter Health is an equal opportunity employer EOE/M/F/Disability/Veterans.
