Pay Rate/Range: $20-25/hr
Description: This position is responsible for setting up and operating CNC lathes—primarily Mazak machines—while independently developing programs using Mazatrol and/or E.I.A. G-code. The role involves running both repeat production and custom short-run jobs, performing in-process inspections to ensure quality, and making necessary tooling adjustments and offset changes to maintain precision. Candidates should be able to follow specifications closely and maintain a clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant work area.
Job Requirements: The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience operating CNC lathes in a production or job-shop setting and be capable of working independently with minimal supervision. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with strong skills in reading blueprints and interpreting standard shop documentation. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in short-run contract work, solid programming abilities in Mazatrol and/or E.I.A. G-code, and comfort working with a variety of materials such as steel and plastics. Familiarity with Mastercam is a plus.
