Baptist Health is looking to add a Child Life Specialist to our Family Support Services team at Wolfson Children's Hospital located in Jacksonville, FL. This is a full time opportunity working Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm. As a Child Life Specialist, you will support all pediatric patients and their families. Our Child Life Specialists provide therapeutic play, emotional support, medical preparation, and procedural coping strategies to help children and their families navigate their hospital experience. While collaborating with other disciplinary teams, you will deliver compassionate, developmentally appropriate care in accordance with ACLP standards.
As a Child Life Specialist, you will be responsible for:
*Requirements include the completion of a child life internship (minimum 1 year prior), pediatric clinical knowledge, and a Child Life Certification to be obtained within 18 months of hire.
