About the Role We are seeking a skilled
Back-End Development Engineer to join a leading retail technology organization. This role focuses on building and optimizing API-driven services that power large-scale, data-intensive applications. You will work in a dynamic environment that values innovation, scalability, and performance.
Job Description As a Back-End Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain microservices and APIs that integrate with cloud and big data platforms. This is a fully onsite position at our client’s technology center. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineering and product development, to deliver secure, high-performing solutions.
Key Responsibilities: - Design and implement back-end services using Java and Spring Boot.
- Develop and maintain REST APIs and microservices architectures.
- Integrate with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), BigQuery, and Apache Hadoop.
- Collaborate with data science and engineering teams to build scalable data solutions.
- Ensure system reliability, security, and performance through best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in distributed systems.
Qualifications Required: - Strong proficiency in Java and experience with Spring Boot.
- Experience with Apache Hadoop, Apache Hive, Apache Spark, and the Spark ecosystem.
- Expertise in RESTful API development and microservices architecture.
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery.
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).
- Knowledge of distributed systems and modern back-end frameworks.
- Understanding of Agile development principles.
Preferred: - Knowledge of Big Data technologies and data modeling.
- Familiarity with Kafka, Python, and Scala.
